La Luna Gaia Pinot Grigio (Italy) £8.50: A lovely, good value pinot grigio with good intensity of flavour and aromatics. Fresh notes of apple, pear, gooseberry and lime. Very refreshing and enjoyable.
Chatelain Desjacques Chardonnay Loire IGP (France) £9.95: A light, crisp, and fresh Chardonnay, just the style that they do so well in the Loire. Unoaked with citrus, stone fruits and a little green apple, this is a great-value alternative to Chablis.
Vergelegen Premium Sauvignon Blanc (South Africa) £12.50: Pure, vibrant aromas of lime blossom, gooseberry, ripe guava, fresh passion fruit, white pepper and quince. Shows amazing elegance, balancing perfect acidity with ripe fruit. Extremely refreshing. Perfect middle-ground between the pungent sweetness of a Kiwi sauvignon and the lean minerality of a Sancerre.
Cintila Setubal Red (Portugal) £7.95: Made with Portugals most widely grown red grape, this is a soft, juicy red wine with lovely red fruits and a recognisably portuguese nose. Easy going and easy to drink on its own, or paired with lighter dishes.
Moulin Gimie le Bec Rouge (France) £9.95: Pop the cork and pour yourself a glass of gluggable wine! This is a juicy wine with supple tannins, full of dark fruit, with a hint of black pepper thrown in, all lifted by a streak of redcurrant giving a touch of freshness.
Rocco Pasetti Montepulciano d'Abruzzo (Italy) £12.50: A wine for all occassions; reasonably full bodied but not heavy, showcasing expert winemaking and excellent grape quality. Some spice and deliciously vibrant fruits with black cherries, forest fruits and ripe plums.
