Rocco Pasetti Pecorino Colline Pescaresi (3bts): Combining good body, crisp acidity and lovely aromas of hay and summer meadows, Pecorino is Italy's authentic riposte to Sauvignon Blanc. This is one of the best we have discovered and is exceptional value for money.
Rocco Pasetti Montepulciano d'Abruzzo (3bts): A wine for all occassions; reasonably full bodied but not heavy, showcasing expert winemaking and excellent grape quality. Some spice and deliciously vibrant fruits with black cherries, forest fruits and ripe plums.
Based in Collecorvino in Abruzzo, between the Gran Sasso mountain (the highest peak in the Apennines) and the Adriatic Sea the winery and surrounding vineyards are located at around 250 metres elevation with a mix of clay and limestone with near perfect ripening conditions. Widely considered to be one of the best vineyard locations in Abruzzo, the wines produced by talented winemaker Rocco Pasetti, and now with his son Franco, provide great value authenticity and real drinking pleasure.
