An un-oaked Chardonnay with bags of flavour and character. Creamy with bright notes of passion fruit, lime and guava. Combined with a cleansing mountain stream quality, this is super drinkable. SA's riposte to Chablis.

Folklore has it that Danie de Wet’s ancestor travelled back from Burgundy with clones of Chardonnay tucked away in his trouser pocket. Their heritage can be traced back to 1694 when their forefathers settle in the cape and today the wine estate is run by Danie and his two sons, Johann and Peter.

Located in the Robertson Valley overlooking the Breede River, the De Wetshof Estate creates a range of wines shaped by the diversity of site specific vineyards which are exposed on the slopes to the region’s chalk and limestone soil.

In 2016 Danie received the prestigious 1659 Honorary Award, the recipient of which is chosen by a panel of wine industry stalwarts and presented to an individual who has created a legacy and played a profound role in the South African wine industry.
