This gem comes from Slovenia. 100% Furmint, no added sugar, made in the traditional method with 4 years (!) on the lees before disgorgement. Pear drop and green apple on a layer of brioche. Refreshing!
In champagne-speak, this would be both "Blanc de Blanc" and "Zero Dosage", and with that amount of time on the lees before disgorgement, it competes very well with star names from Champagne. At a fraction of the price. Very well done!
