Del Professore is a brand established by the colourful creatives behind the Jerry Thomas Project.  A project named after the ‘father of American mixology’ Jeremiah Thomas (1830-1885),  who popularized cocktails and developed elaborate techniques for mixing them which incorporated a certain showmanship; a vital element of mixology even today. He was also the first person to ever to publish a book about cocktails ‘How to mix drinks’ in 1862, making him the inventor of the cocktail book and the formal cocktail recipe.

The Project is not just a tribute to Jerry Thomas however, it is also a rediscovery of forgotten Italian spirits, a celebration of prohibition drinks with an Italian twist and an advocate for high quality products made with high quality raw Italian ingredients. And thus the reason for the creation and evolution of Del Professore Vermouths & Spirits.

Through extensive research the Jerry Thomas boys created new recipes which are truly authentic, rich in history and the opitimy of artisanal excellence. Only the best quality, natural and seasonal ingredients are used and their products are crafted with the upmost care and precision.

Gin Monsieur represents a lost style of gin production. Retracing the same techniques they use for their vermouth, the creation of the gin starts with blending a juniper distillate into an infusion of herbs and spices with the aim of obtaining a deep complexity of aromas. Neither gins are industrially filtered and therefore they maintain their original amber colour gained from the spice infusion.

Gin Monsieur uses a distillate of wild juniper which is then mixed with a cold infusion of other herbs and spices, citrus peel and a secret ingredient. After the infusion, the gin is filtered extremely delicately in order not to lose any of the intense aromas gained from natural infusion.
