Expressive red fruit characters dominate. with a light, toasty note. The wine is well-structured with a deep colour and softened by 18 months of ageing in oak. The finish has a lovely sappy, mineral edge to it.
The original Prieur family estate was established in 1804 in the heart of Santenay by brothers Claude and Jean. In 1955, their descendant Guy Prieur married Elizabeth Brunet of the eponymous Meursault domaine, thus establishing Domaine Prieur-Brunet.
