An exuberant nose, followed by ripe fruits, chocolate, hazelnut and classic cigar box notes on the palate. Full bodied with an elegant austerity to complement the powerful fruit cmplexity. A mouth-coatingly long finish.

75% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, 5% Rondinella. Matured for four years in wood, the first year in barriques and subsequently in 35 hl Slavonian oak casks. Amarone Ca’ Florian then ages in bottle for at least a further year.

Tommasi was founded in 1902 and has grown to be the largest family-owned vineyard estate in Valpolicella Classico. Tommasi is located in Pedemonte in the heart of the historic ‘Classico’ region, from which the best quality wines are produced. From grandfather Giacomo’s small vineyard holding of 5 hectares, the Tommasi estate has grown over the years and today comprises 215 hectares of vineyard including 105 hectares in the Valpolicella Classica and 45 hectares in the Lugana DOC. The estate is owned and managed by the fourth generation of the Tommasi family.

The family own vineyards in some of the prime hillside sites in the region: ‘La Groletta’, ‘Conca d’Oro’ and ‘Ca’Florian’, where the grapes for the Amarone Classico, Ripasso, and Valpolicella Classico Superiore are cultivated. The most prestigious wine of the Valpolicella is the opulent Amarone, one of Italy’s top wines.

Riserva status requires a minumin of 30 months in barrel and 6 months in bottle before release, making Reserva the "ne ultra plus" of the world of Amarone.
